I am server-by-server migrating from Fedora Core (8 from a few years ago) to the latest CentOS. This is not an upgrade or downgrade, but a side-grade given many of the packages are at similar versions even though CentOS 5.4 (The community re-compiled version of RedHat Enterprise Linux) continues to receive security updates while FC8 does not. There will be intermittent outages during the upgrades. I'm not able to specify specific times as I'm doing this between other projects. Last evening I migrated the calcutta.flora.ca virtual server ( primarily http://www.flora.org ). Minor issues were fixed this morning that was disabling some users from using FTP to manage their sites. Remaining is http://newdelhi.flora.ca (various websites, mailman mailing lists) , hugli.flora.ca (mail/dns services) and then westbengal (XEN DOM0 that hosts the above 3 servers). I also hope to take this opportunity to upgrade the RAID configuration on westbengal. -- Russell McOrmond, Internet Consultant: <http://www.flora.ca/> Please help us tell the Canadian Parliament to protect our property rights as owners of Information Technology.
