I am planning to be doing some server software upgrades tomorrow. I don't have an exact time when I'll be starting, nor how long I will be taking. I will start as early as I can in the morning, and will continue working until everything is working after the upgrade. Tech notes: The server is virtualized using Xen with a Xen0, and three XenU's. The plan is to upgrade in stages where I upgrade the Xen0 from Fedora Core 5 to Fedora 8. The XenU's would get matching upgraded kernels (so they would run from the Xen0), but would otherwise remain on the older Fedora Core. Once I am comfortable with that upgrade I will then update the XenU's (in sequence): calcutta.flora.ca (FLORA.org), hugli.flora.ca (mail/DNS/etc server), newdelhi.flora.ca (Other websites, Mailman lists, etc). This later stage is likely to happen on a different day, so that the downtime of each stage is minimal. -- Russell McOrmond, Internet Consultant: <http://www.flora.ca/> Please help us tell the Canadian Parliament to protect our property rights as owners of Information Technology.
