Ongoing adventures: server reboot

I had to reboot the Xen's on westbengal (calcutta and newdelhi) this
morning as they were both frozen in different ways.
I'm doing more reading about Xen, and am trying to see if this might be
a TLS (Thread-Local Storage) problem.
Advise on various boards suggested the following:
# mv /lib/tls /lib/tls.disabled
# echo "hwcap 0 nosegneg" >/etc/ld.so.conf.d/nosegneg.conf
