Status of CooperIX

After a lot of soul searching, Mike Richardson and I have decided to
discontinue CooperIX. I have been reporting various problems in this
list that started last summer with the closure of iStop and earlier this
year with the moving of OttIX. We were never able to make new
connections at reasonable prices. While we had the option of moving to
a fiber connection and expand this aspect of our business, we decided to
focus our time on other projects.

Mike Richardson is exploring renting some rack space at a high-speed
facility for his clients.

Colocation customers of CooperIX have been notified, and they will
need to collocate their machines elsewhere.

Customers of OpenConcept hosting will continue to be serviced by
OpenConcept, but their websites will be migrating to a server that will
be collocated elsewhere.

   Sites sponsored by FLORA.ca (FLORA.org , digital-copyright.ca,
planetfriendly.net, forumonpublicdomain.ca, gutenbergcanada.org, etc)
will be moving to my home network. The new connection with static
Internet addresses has already been installed, and I am slowly migrating
services over to the new network.
