Network upgrades (Friday Jun 21)

The cleanup of the network went well, and downtime was minimal. There
was a brief outage (less than 2 minutes) while moving the network cabling
for the database server, and another brief outage later in the afternoon
during the final installation of the new firewall.
For the curious, here is an ascii-art version of the current network at
